A Sneak Peak of this Years Practice Incentive Program!

It’s the 3rd week in the #TpTChallenge and this week is Make Your Masterpiece! I gave a little spoiler when I was on The Modern Musicians Show with Colin Thomson the other day so I thought I would give even more today!

As most of you know I have been diligently working hard on this years theme. I still have a couple weeks to polish it off, but I am just so darn excited I can’t WAIT until lessons begin!

This year students will be going on a story-based quest where they will complete challenges along the way. EVERYTHING you will need – challenges (ranging from technique/artistry to notes, rhythms, scales, etc.), games, stories and videos will be included! I also made a couple different options available so if you don’t necessarily want to follow the challenges I set up you will also have the freedom to set your own.

What sets this program apart from anything else I have done (besides being CHOCK FULL of goodies) or anything I have seen that is out there is I threw in some augmented reality! I am just finishing up the printable and will be starting on prepping for the video’s/augmented reality portion. I should have this all done mid-July, just in time for fall lessons to begin. (I don’t know when school starts for you guys, but in AZ we start early August!)

I’d love to hear what you think of it so far! I predict it is going to be a student/teacher favorite!

Easy as “Pi”

Do you know what today is? It’s “Pi” day (3/14)! Music teachers have gotten together and have chosen one of their products and lowered it to $3.14 for today only! I decided to lower my spring templates for the rhythm bump it game. This will be the lowest you will ever see it at more than half off! This includes templates you can use for March, April and May. Don’t want to use all of them this year? That’s okay, use March this year, April next year and May’s the year after. The May template can really be used anytime!

Rhythm bump It is a fun game where students will roll a dice and find the matching rhythm values to the number rolled. The goal is to bump the other players off the board and be the one standing. It’s quick enough to use it during a lesson and “easy as Pi”, just print and play. A favorite in my studio!

To find the spring templates (directions are included in the file), just click on the picture below. To find all the easy as “pi” deals, just search for “EasyasPiMusicFlashSale” on TpT! And don’t forget everything goes back to regular price tonight!

Need a fun game this week to celebrate for St. Patricks day? You may want to check out “Lucky Shamrock“. (click picture below)

Lucky Shamrock is a “luck of the draw” game where they can name and define music symbols while collecting gold coins. There are “lucky” opportunities in the deck but watch out for the leprechaun hat!

Here is a quote from one teacher who used it with her students last week. “My students are LOVING this! Because I was in a hurry, I used green flat side marbles instead of the coins. I had them on hand. They worked like a charm for a quick fix.”

Valentines Day!

Valentines is just a couple weeks away! Do you like to do something for your students for Valentines? This year I made these cute Rock Star Valentines.

After I was done with them, I thought it would be fun to make a candy bar option as well. I haven’t decided yet if I’ll go the candy route yet but if I do, they turned out super cute!

After I was done with these, I thought that I may do another design to go along with my theme this year (“Reach Beyond the Stars”). So stay tuned. I’m pretty sure another design is on its way. 😉

Because these are brand new in my store, they are on sale 20% off the first 24 hours they are released. Which means the sale would expire in just a couple hours. However, I am feeling the LOVE and am extending the discount until I’m done teaching tonight. So you have until 7:00pm tonight (AZ MST) to take advantage!

If you haven’t followed my store on TpT yet, be sure you do because I always give a 20% discount on new releases the first 24 hours and as a follower you will receive an email that I have something new available.

sELFless Challenge Freebie

In conjunction with the Creative Clips sELFless challenge week, I made this penguin listening glyph with her adorable penguin clipart. One of my favorite musicals is Mary Poppins so I thought it would be a fun activity for this time of year to combine the penguin clipart to the penguin song in Mary Poppins.

You can download it for free here or by clicking on the picture. Enjoy, please remember to leave a comment if you download. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
